Our National Flag

A national flag symbolizes the freedom of a free country. It is the token of a country. Every free nation has a flag of its own. Bangladesh is an independent country. So, we have a national flag. Its proportion is 10:6. It is green but it has a red circle in the middle. The green color symbolizes the youth or the evergreen forest of Bangladesh. The red color symbolizes a rising sun or a new hope for us. It also symbolizes the supreme sacrifices of our freedom fighters. It is hoisted every working day at the top of important government buildings and educational institutions. It is hoisted everywhere on independence and the victory day. It is kept half-mast on the national mourning day. We feel very proud of our national flag.
