 University Wits:

There were some young dramatists and pamphleteers in the Elizabethan Period. They were scholar/witty students of Oxford and Cambridge University. They were known as University Wits.

There were about 7 famous University Wits. They were:

1. Christopher Marlowe

2. Thomas Kyd

3. Robert Greene

4. George Peele

5. Thomas Nashe

6. John Lyle

7. Thomas Lodge
