Stanza:
Stanza is a section / division of a poem. It is usually made according to a pattern. It is the unit of structure in a poem. Sometimes the stanza is a unit of thought of a poem. It is determined by the number of lines. It may be any number but more than twelve is uncommon and four is the commonest. There are several stanza patterns. The most common English stanza patterns are Spenserian stanza, quatrain, ottava Rima, rhyme royal.
