Communicative Language Teaching:

CLT means Communicative Language Teaching. It is an approach to the teaching of second and foreign languages. It provides opportunity to the learners to communicate in the target language. According to the Brown, " CLT is a approach to language teaching methodology that emphasizes authenticity, interaction, student-centered learning, task based activities, and communication for the real world, meaningful purposes."

CLT sets the goal of creating "communicative competence" in the learners.
