This project's name is Mass Rapid Transit ( MRT) in Dhaka city. It is a mega project. It is the second-largest project of the current government of Bangladesh. It is from Uttara to Motijheel. It is about 20 kilometers long. Its estimated cost is $2.82bn. It will have 16 elevated stations, each of them 180 m long. It is capable of transporting 60,000 passengers per hour and 5 lakh a day. At present, a part of its has been completed and trains have been started for transporting passengers from Uttara to Agargaon section. Now it is running only for six hours but soon it will run a full day. Dhaka Metro Rail will have many positive impacts on our social and economic life. It saves time. By using the metro rail, people of Dhaka city to move from one place to another quickly avoiding traffic jams. They can reach their workplace on time by using the Dhaka metro rail.
