Gerasim Lebedev / Herasim Lebedeff:

Gerasim Lebedev or  Herasim Lebedeff was an Russian adventurer and writer. He was also a translator, musician, linguist and pioneer of Bengali Theatre. He was born in Russia in 1749. He was a pioneer of Indology. He was the founder of Hindu Theatre. In 1775, he founded Hindu Theatre in Kolkata. He died in 1817 at the age of 68.
